The MSR move makes sense, the WTR is a shocker.

One of the race broadcasters kind of spilled the beans about WTR and Acura during on the races. Glad MSR is still getting some factory support, really want to watch that team grow.

They had HPD support initially when they started the P2 Ligiers and wanted in on the DPi, but exclusivity clause wrote that one off. Glad to see them back even if it means we lose a couple NSXs.

They should get another team to come in and field the NSXs. Maybe see if RealTime Racing to take MSR’s place, as they already have experience with the original NSX GT3.
Or perhaps one of the Honda teams in the Pilot Challenge could move up to GTD. Or even Ryan Eversley’s team, Gradiant Racing, could move to the series, as his team already fields GT3 Evo s in the Blancpain GT series?

It would have to be one of the SRO teams since that’s where all of them are, but seems most likely. Dependent on where HPD puts its drivers (Dane Cameron) and whether Racers Edge has spare capacity (the Barkey campaign at the beginning was contingent on getting a deal on the car). GTD sprint is still expensive unless you have a full sponsor package (a la Pfaff). Maybe LA Honda World or the HPD Academy gets more funding.
Edit: the RTR option doesn’t look so good at the mo

HPD Academy would make a lot more sense, since they ARE a factory race team, and the GTD class would be the perfect place for them to expand to, and could eventually lead to some drivers there moving up to one of the DPi teams in the future.
